Help them understand it, not just finish it
By Key Stage 2, a child can be completing their work while still feeling unsure about the ideas underneath it. They may know a method without understanding why it works, or have plenty to say but struggle to get it onto the page.
Our teachers help children strengthen their understanding in English, maths and other subjects. We ask questions, model strategies and give children time to explain their thinking, so they can use what they learn back in school.
