Online Tutoring

Online tutoring with teachers we know and trust

Teachwise is a small community of experienced teachers. We have chosen to keep it that way. When you get in touch, we take time to understand your child and introduce you to a teacher we believe will be the right fit. Every lesson is planned around what your child needs, with feedback to help you see how they are getting on.

  • One to one lessons, or small groups of up to 4
  • Early Years to A Level and IB
  • Feedback after each lesson

How we teach online

Good online teaching keeps children involved

A child should do more in an online lesson than watch a teacher explain something on a screen. They should be answering questions, sharing ideas, trying things out and getting feedback while they work.

Our teachers use interactive tools and shared resources to make that happen, but the technology is there to support the teaching. What matters is that the teacher notices how a child is thinking and knows what to do next.

Answering questions

Children talk, respond and explain their thinking during the lesson.

Trying things out

Sharing ideas and working through problems, not just watching.

Shared resources

Interactive tools that support the teaching, never replace it.

Feedback as they work

The teacher notices how a child is thinking and knows what to do next.

Our teachers

Why Teachwise exists

When I started Teachwise, I wanted to make online learning more engaging, enjoyable and focused on inquiry. I wanted students to feel confident asking questions, sharing their ideas and taking an active role in their own learning. I never imagined that Teachwise would grow into the community it has become today.

As we have grown, I have always been careful about the tutors who represent Teachwise. Our tutors are experienced teachers who have worked in leading international schools. They understand the curriculum, know how to engage students online and, most importantly, care about the children they teach.

We do not just support students with their next test or exam. We stay with them throughout their learning journey, helping them build confidence, overcome challenges and push themselves towards their true potential. Recently, five of our students were accepted into their first-choice universities. Seeing them reach that point is exactly why Teachwise exists.

Where do we start?

You do not need to know exactly what kind of tuition your child needs before contacting us. Tell us their age or year group, curriculum, subject, what you have noticed and what you hope will improve. We can talk it through and suggest whether one to one lessons, a small group or another approach makes sense.
